The introduction of ISO45001 (International Health & Safety Management Standard) is an exciting time for organisations wishing to gain certification and demonstrate that they meet this international standard.
Employers need to demonstrate that they have taken into account the wider context that they operate in, including their sub-contractors and suppliers, in the way they control and manage health and safety.
What many contractors and service providers may not realise, is that if the organisation they supply seeks ISO45001 certification, they will need to meet the same standards set out in that organisations Safety Management System (SMS). Not doing so could be detrimental to their business.
Over the past few months I have been consulted in the development of a new technology which will be a great asset to organisations wishing to attain ISO 45001 for the first time, or for those who wish to successfully migrate from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001. It simplifies a complex process, is very easy to navigate, and will lead to efficiencies within organisations who utilise it.
I’m super excited about Excelledia’s new technology, Isorobot, which incorporates business opportunities as well as risks posed to business, which is very much aligned to ‘new view’ thinking for safety. Seeing the doughnut, so to speak, not just the hole.
Its makes the process of obtaining ISO certification very clear, and does away with trying to fit round pegs into square holes (which I have seen numerous times in the past with other management systems technology which are cumbersome to use). Isorobot will be launched in the next 24 hours, watch this space! 😊
