A few kind words
- “We recently engaged the services of Upstream to review our Safety Management System in advance of our SafeTCert audit. From the get-go, we found Upstream to be a pleasure to do business with. They were very respectful throughout the process and we felt they always had our best interests at heart. Their knowledge and familiarity in the construction sector was obvious, and this gave us great reassurance that we were in safe hands.
Contrary to our expectation, Upstream focused on the many value-added systems and processes that were in place, and gave credit and positive feedback on those. While Upstream did find some areas for improvement, we felt that a holistic viewpoint was taken, and they did not focus solely on system deficiencies. Communication, delivery and efficiencies were all to be commended. A thorough audit of our systems, including a site visit, was conducted by Marion & Tony. The feedback was delivered in a very respectful and constructive manner, and we felt very reassured that further support was available from Upstream should we need it in implementing any findings from the audit.
Marion delivered a Safety Leadership workshop to our senior leadership team, and each of us found it to be a thought-provoking and positively different experience (based on our prior experience on similar subject-matter). It was an engaging and interactive session based on the principles of ‘Safety Differently’, which challenged many of our long-held assumptions in regard to safety.
From start to finish, our collaboration with Upstream has been a wholly positive experience. We received SafeTCert accreditation, and we are very thankful for the services and support of Upstream in helping us attain this accreditation. We found Upstream provided a cost efficient and effective solution for our business, and we would highly recommend Upstream to any other businesses wishing to successfully manage safety, and who are striving to go beyond compliance.”
I had the good fortune to work with Marion from Upstream when she carried out a health and safety site visit at my Dental Practice in Ardee,Co Louth. The nature of our business is such that health and safety is paramount and there are a number of items that are very relevant and specific to health and safety for dental surgeries. Marion is a true professional in her work. Her knowledge and passion for her work has to be commended. Following her visit, Marion was able to produce for my business a comprehensive safety statement that far exceeded my expectations. The document gave us a detailed synopsis of our current practices and procedures and made very valid and practical recommendations for things we could improve on. Marion has always made herself available to discuss any matters or queries I have on health and safety in the work place and is a delight to work with. I cannot thank Marion enough for helping me better look after the health and well being of not just my patients but also my work colleagues and indeed myself. Upstream do a fantastic job and provide a great service to the business community. Marion’s customer service skills are second to none and I would highly recommend her for anyone needing assistance in this sector.
Dóibh siúl lena mbaineann sé, to who it may concern,
Starting an Irish Camp was a daunting task for me and getting a health and safety policy was an area of worry for me. Marion at Upstream Health and Safety put me at my ease immediately. She went through all areas carefully and came to meet me prior to any decision being made.
Marion was also great to give advice and never forced her custom. She was great to follow up with me throughout the process.
Once decided upon the paperwork was completed thoroughly and efficiently. It was presented very professionally and to be honest I couldn’t have asked for more from Upstream Health and Safety .
I would certainly recommend Upstream Health and Safety for any company or school looking for Health and Safety Policies/statements to be drawn up efficiently, thoroughly and reasonably priced.
My Irish Summer Camp is looking in good shape for the future. This would not be the case had it not been for Marion and her team.
We engaged the services of Marion Kiely of Upstream for training in the specialised area of Behavioural Based Safety (BBS), and were delighted with the service we received. Marion tailor-made a half day training package based on our requirements and presented to a cross-section of senior management, administration staff & frontline employees. The training we received far exceeded our expectations.
After presenting on the broad spectrum of BBS programs out there, Marion went on to present some teachings of Prof Sidney Dekker, Dr John Green and Prof Dave Snowden, covering areas of Safety Differently and Cynefin Framework. Relevant case studies were presented, dialogue was encouraged, and the feedback from all in attendance was that it was by far one of the best training days we ever attended. Being in the industry for over 30 years, it was without doubt, the most engaging and professional safety training I have ever received. I would highly recommend Marion of Upstream to any business out there looking to bring their safety to the next level
I’ve been very lucky to get to work with Marion in recent years both as part of coaching groups I have facilitated that she has joined and also in charity events and fundraisers that we have undertook.
In the many different environments where we have worked together she brought both a brilliant attitude and hugely valuable skill set’s that inspired and engaged everyone involved. Her own story background and development shows someone who is truly committed to living a meaningful and full life dedicated to growth and contribution.
With some of the charity events my business ran in recent years Marion was one of the first people I called upon for support due to her kind, honest and humble nature. Amongst these events was a fundraiser for youth group Foroige in which we raised a substantial amount for their Big Brother Big Sister project.
Marion is truly passionate about her chosen field of health and safety and in my time knowing her I have seen her study and practice mindfulness and personal development work to further all areas of her life. I’m proud to know Marion and consider her a great friend.
I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful and most enlightening lecture I’ve ever sat through. I always knew that Health and Safety was an interest for me and hopefully a career, but your lecture has focused my mind on to where I would like to specialise and excel!
I truly never gave Stress and psychosocial hazards the respect that they deserve.
Ahane N.S choose Marion Kiely of Upstream to undertake our school risk assessment. She has shown herself to be both professional and prompt in her delivery of this service. She carried out a detailed inspection of our school environment, and was very generous with her time, spending the entire school day with us.
The Safety Statement issued to us is of a high standard and took a comprehensive view of our teaching and working environment. I would highly recommend her service to other schools.
